THE PLOT:

It is the middle ages, and a meteor shower brings to Earth more then big pieces of space rocks. Hidden inside the meteors are dragon eggs.

The eggs hatch and for some strange reason mature very quickly and attack the nearby kingon. The leader is a cruel, heartless and power hungry king. A king who is planning on conquering it's peaceful naighbor. Because they are running out of food, perhaps if he would help grow it and stop eating all of it, it might help.

One he finds out the Dragons are real, he flees for his cowardy life and asks for help from his enemy. All the time planning a take over. They send out a crack team of Dragon Slayers to kill the beast. They set up an ambush, not knowing that they too are falling into an ambush. Who will win, the Dragons, the Cruel king or our team of misfit Dragon Slayers?

ZEDD'S OPINION:

Dragon Storm has a good cast, great effects and a cool sense of humor running through it. But John Rhys-Davies who is a great actor doesn't do too well. Geuss he's not that use to being the bad guy. He was oddly wooden in the role of evil king. Plus, what's with the evil King? I can't imagine any human devouring up the resources in one area and taking over the next kingdom. I never heard that in History. There some good stuff in this, but more bad then good. I give it...4 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

This does have amazing effects and a great cast. But Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy has one thing in common with comedy. If you don't buy the premise, you don't buy the bit. I don't buy the premise. Dragons are aliens that imerge ouf the egg full grown. That's just stupid and the world of the Dark Ages didn't look real. I am a big fan of STEVEN FURST since his days in SAINT ELSEWHERE. But I feel he dropped the ball, I hope with more experience. He will do better as a director. But mainly I blame the writers of this crapper and I give it....THE NOOSE!

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (- HITS):

+ CAST (The movie has a great cast. Too bad it's in this movie.)
+ EFFECTS (Marvalous effects, the dragons really look real.)
+ HUMOR (The movie does have a sense of humor about it.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- WRITING (The writing makes some of the characters wooden and stiff.)
- SUBPLOT (The whole subplot of the evil king's plan to conquer his neighbor just doesn't work.)
- UNREALISITC (Dragons came to Earth in meteors. Don't buy it.)
- FULL GROWN (That's just lazy writing and Effects having the Dragon pop out their eggs fully grown.)

AND FINALLY...

- DRAGONS (The dragons raided and killed. But we didn't see any of them eating people. What was the point of the raid if not to eat the humans?)
