THE PLOT:

Carl Denham is being sued for the choas caused by King Kong not too long ago. He decides to get away from it all and take a sea voyage with his old fiends.

They arrive on a small island where they meet Hilda, who has a little show with her Father, but her Father is murdered during a drunken arguement by a Frenchman. Who then set fires to the tent to cover his crime.

Hilda talks Carl into taking her with him not knowing that her Father's murderer is also the man who sold the chart that led Carl to Kong. He talks Carl into going back for lost treasure that will fix his money troubles.

But Englehorn was lying and wanted to get off the island. He stages a mutiny to steal the ship, but also ended up marooned on the island when the mutiniers turn on him.

Carl and Hilda meet a little Kong and befriends the little monster, but the island dangers are many and the young Prince has much to learn about fighting.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

At around an hour and ten minutes it's a little short. But I like the little Kong and the ending is a litle sad. But the effects are just a good as the first movie and I think this is the first sequel. This is before Son of Dracula or Bride of Frankestein. Son of Kong is also a classic worth watching over and over again and I give it...9 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with Zedd, as short as it was I wish we had more time with Little Kong. Plus, the main problem I have with this as well as the first movie they have plant eaters attack people and eating them. In this one it's a Styrathosaur. It charges them and acted like they wanted to eat them. That's just wrong. But over all it's a classic. Which I give 8 STARS to.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (- HITS):

+ EFFECTS (The stop motion was just as good as the first movie)
+ STORY (Though short was good)
+ CHARACTERS (It was nice to see returning characters from the last movie)
+ LITTLE KONG (The Little Kong was cute!)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- SHORT (At an hour and ten minutes, it's kind of short)
- PLANT EATERS (Someone tell Willis that plant eaters wouldn't attack people)

AND FIANLLY...

- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on giant monsters, then this isn't for you)
